Zagadat Capital Acquires Stake in Intravenous Infusions PLC on GAX

Investment firm Zagadat Capital, led by entrepreneur and musician Mr Eazi as Chief Investment Officer, has acquired a significant stake in Ghanaian pharmaceutical company Intravenous Infusions PLC.

The company secured a 17.31% shareholding in the firm, amounting to more than 47 million shares, according to a market disclosure.

The shares were purchased through open-market transactions on the Ghana Alternative Exchange (GAX), with Laurus Africa Securities acting as the licensed dealing member for the deal.

Intravenous Infusions PLC, which is listed under the ticker symbol IIL on the GAX, is a Ghana-based manufacturer of intravenous fluids and other pharmaceutical products used in healthcare delivery.

Zagadat Capital described the acquisition as part of a long-term investment strategy aimed at supporting the development of Ghana’s healthcare and pharmaceutical manufacturing sector. The firm said it views the company as having strong growth potential within the local and regional healthcare ecosystem.

The investment also reflects broader interest in locally produced medical supplies, particularly as countries across Africa look to strengthen domestic healthcare systems and reduce dependence on imports.

Zagadat Capital emphasised that the transaction is not intended to lead to a takeover or a change in control of the company. Instead, it represents a strategic position designed to support future growth and create long-term value for shareholders.

Market analysts say the move signals growing investor confidence in Ghana’s industrial and healthcare sectors, particularly firms listed on the Ghana Alternative Exchange, which focuses on small and medium-sized enterprises.
