The following statement was delivered by the newly elected President of the Tafo Muslim Youth Association Mohammed the Crusader shortly after his election. In the address, he thanked members for their support, outlined his priorities for the organization, expressed support for the proposed Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill, and made a number of controversial remarks regarding LGBTQ+ issues and individuals associated with the movement.

The following is the full statement delivered by the newly elected President of the Tafo Muslim Youth Association Mohammed the Crusader shortly after his election. Statement begins:
“I am very grateful for the trust and honor shown to me by this great and honorable organization. When I came to your various quarters to vote for me as the new president and leader of the Tafo Muslim Youth, you received my message and this resounding victory is a testament to the fact that this organization needs new energy. I will like to also thank the outgoing executives, president Tijani and his team for their services. My main objective for this position has always been to fight the menace and the high level of indecency that has bewildered our community as Muslims.
The canker of homosexualism has engulfed the whole Tafo municipality of which we the Tafo Muslim Youth community is a part of and therefore, we shall not rest until it is dealt with. We thank the honorable member for Ningo Prampram Hon. Samuel Gyata George and the rest of the sponsors of the Family Value Bill which is set to be passed in Parliament next month. On this note I will like to reiterate to all the gays and lesbians in our community that we are going to pursue them and when we get them, we won’t spare them! We are not going to allow their devilish act plunge our community and country into sodom and gomorah. Also those who call themselves supporters or advocates, I call them enablers because they are those hiding behind human rights and pushing these weaklings into practicing such a devils act.
In our Tafo Muslim Youth community we have witnessed the emergence of these people and we were lenient with them, however, as I have arrived as the leader of the Tafo Muslim Youth organization we are going to hunt them like rats and deal with them mercilessly before our toddlers and young ones are converted into that demonic activity. We have seen the likes of Bright Ntoaduro who was born and bred here saying on live tv that he supports them, he support such a shameless act even though the community he and his family stay, do not accept it, is that not and insult? I was so angry when our past leaders decided to massage the truth and deal with him like the fool that he is, they have allowed him to live for the past one and half years after spewing rubbish about our organization.
I will entreat Bright to stay wherever he is in Ghana and never let any of our members see him because we are no longer interested in dealing with him with the courts. The court and the policing systems is so weak, we would rather deal with in the way he accused us of dealing with him in the past. It is a sound warning to him and his organization home or abroad to stay away from our community before we show them our real teeth. Lastly, to all you Tafo Muslim Youth who are into this devilish act, know that your days are numbered and soon, the veil shall be uncovered and when it does, only Allah can save you.
